Anyone working in a catering, manufacturing or retail setting where food is prepared, cooked and handled.

Why is this training important?
Everyone who works with food has a special responsibility for safeguarding the health of consumers and ensure that the food they serve or sell is perfectly safe to eat.
Learning outcomes
• Firm grasp of the importance of food safety and knowledge of the systems, techniques andprocedures involved
• Understanding of how to control food safety risks (personal hygiene, food storage, cooking andhandling)
• Confidence and expertise to safely deliver quality food to customers
Refreshment of this qualification is recommended at least every three years.
Fees & Funding
The regular cost for this course is €135 per person. Taste 4 Success Skillnet are funding €50 (37%), meaning the cost to Taste 4 Success Skillnet member companies is €85 per person. This fee, payable in advance, represents a very substantial discount on the cost of delivering this course. This discounted price for the programme is supported by Taste 4 Success Skillnet and is available to all eligible applicants.
Funding Eligibility Criteria
• Business must be registered and based in the Republic of Ireland
• Start-up/artisan/sole traders/social enterprise and representatives from community groups are eligible if based and operating in the Republic of Ireland
• Participants must be resident and living in the Republic of Ireland
• As a Government of Ireland and Member Company funded training network, we can only support those enterprises and candidates meeting the above criteria
